Garth Olson is a versatile and sought-after music conductor, worship leader, keyboardist and arranger in central Texas known for his proven ability to involve others in a wide variety of worship styles and musical contexts.
Garth has distinguished himself as an innovative worship arts director, a talented solo pianist, an engaging conductor, and an integral piece of both small and large ensembles, including choral, handbell, and instrumental. He has directed musical groups in the church, academe, and theatre.
Director of Worship and Music leader with over 20 years of experience supporting the mission and vision of the church through worship music and arts. Music Degree, Business Degree, Certificate in Worship Leadership Studies, and a Master of Arts degree in Music and Worship. Integrates worship music and arts with the church seasons and sermon messages. Accomplished pianist and experienced organist. Well-versed with traditional to contemporary hymnody. Proficient in all aspects of live streaming, production, and virtual music with vocal and instrumental ensembles. Successful track record mentoring, serving, discipling, counseling and encouraging staff, volunteers, and community members to work together in shared ministries. Expertise in management, human resources, strategic planning, finance, accounting, information technologies, and facilities operations gained from law firm experience.
Born in Hollywood, raised in small-town Minnesota, and schooled at the University of Wisconsin, St. Stephen’s University, and Liberty University, Garth has taken full advantage of a broad diversity of learning opportunities and work experiences from the Midwest, Northwest, Northeast, and most recently in the Southwest. Garth currently resides in Georgetown, TX.
